We’re excited to share a major milestone for TherapyStack — the official launch of the first pillar of our vision: a job board for therapists specifically dedicated to mental health tech opportunities.
The Problem We’re Tackling
Therapists have one of the most emotionally demanding and chronically under-supported jobs in the healthcare system. Therapist burnout is real. Many clinicians juggle multiple part-time jobs or make frequent transitions between roles, all while searching for work that feels sustainable, mission-aligned, and well-compensated.
Unfortunately, mainstream job platforms haven’t evolved to meet the unique needs of therapists navigating today’s complex and shifting career landscape. Platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn are flooded with community mental health roles and ghost postings, often drowning out the innovative upstarts. These platforms are:
Too generalized to support therapist-specific search filters
Not designed to surface modern, non-traditional roles
Missing relevant mental health-specific profile data to connect therapists with the right employers
This all leads to a frustrating, time-consuming, and often fruitless job search.
Meanwhile: Mental Health Tech Is Booming
We’re in the midst of a mental health tech revolution. Over the last few years, the number of companies building innovative products to improve access to mental healthcare has exploded — from AI clinical tools like Tenor, to digital clinics like Allminds, to startup-led research initiatives like Slingshot AI. In fact, the mental health sector is experiencing a major resurgence in investment, signaling a market ripe for innovation. Yet many therapists aren’t even aware these opportunities exist, let alone that they are highly qualified for non-clinical and clinical roles within these organizations.
TherapyStack was built to bridge that gap.
Our Belief
Technology has long been one of the most powerful drivers of societal change. Today, companies across the globe are racing to harness the latest breakthroughs in AI — especially large language models — to reshape everything from healthcare to education. Mental health tech is no exception. But as these tools are built and deployed, we believe therapists shouldn’t just be along for the ride — they should be at the helm. Whether as clinicians, researchers, clinical strategists, or even founders and product leaders, therapists must have a seat at the table guiding the future of mental health.
